I'm thrilled that progress will be made on the structure, which used to look like this...
Scary stuff. We just finished a fabulous indoor picnic lunch with corn on the cob, veggie burgers with all the fixin's, baked beans and my mom's potato salad, which I made. Add watermelon for dessert, and so far the day hasn't been quite so bad.I thought I'd share a photo that my cousin uploaded to Facebook. It was his birthday party, and there I am front and center, sporting a Dorothy Hamill pageboy cut that my parents were so fond of and, for some odd reason, often mention when reminiscing about our childhoods.
I'm amazed how much of SoJo I see in my childhood self. Save for that kick-ass dress I have on. That's one of my brothers standing next to me on the right, and another one of them in the striped shirt a bit below him. And my mother (looking beatific like the Madonna) is at the top of the photo, with I think another brother in the infamous sailor suit that we all liked to make fun of.Hope you're having a spectacular 4th, my American readers.
